Experience and Specialties

Dr. Stanley has been in private practice for 35 years, specializing in helping couples and families sort out complicated situations. She assists couples in discernment therapy, gaining clarity about the viability of working on the relationship. She helps couples design individualized structured separations in which both partners are able to take a pause from current stresses, create temporary boundaries, achieve greater clarity about how the relationship might continue to grow in healthier directions, and develop new skills in managing conflict, parenting styles, and communication. In her collaborative divorce coaching, she endeavors to support both parties in developing a plan that supports the future well-being of both partners and encourages mutually cooperative parenting for the benefit of the children.
